
Miss Chantele Sibanda
Chantele is an Associate at Wintertons in the Corporate and Commercial law department. She is also assigned to the Energy, Infrastructure and Natural Resources and Family Law departments.
Chantele specializes in corporate and commercial transactions, focusing mostly on mergers and acquisitions in the private equity sector. Her experience extends to all aspects of acquisitions within the sector including legal due diligence investigations, investor protection advice, general corporate law advisory, compliance and corporate governance advice. She has extensive knowledge in matters involving the competition authorities at both national and regional levels. She also assists our clients through every stage of an organisation’s life cycle to ensure that they meet all of the legal and regulatory compliance requirements relevant to their organization including company secretarial services.
In the Energy, Infrastructure and Natural Resources department, Chantele has rendered legal assistance to both local and international independent power producers in numerous projects in the renewable energy sector. She has also advised a considerable number of our clients in the mining industry. This work included due diligence reviews, general compliance, and regulatory advice, drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction agreements.
Chantele is also a key member of the family law department where she represents clients in custody, guardianship and divorce cases.
Chantele graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa. Prior to joining Wintertons, Chantele served as an Articled Clerk at Webber Wentzel in Johannesburg, South Africa.
