Nicholas commenced practice as a prosecutor in January 1968, qualified as an advocate in January 1969 while briefly at the Attorney-General’s Office and then joined a firm of legal practitioners called Surgey, Pittman and Kerswell, where in due course he became their Managing Partner.

He joined Wintertons as a consultant partner on the 1st June 2000, bringing a well-established clientele with him. He is a commercial and litigation practitioner in all fields, particularly in relation to property matters and landlord and tenant disputes, and is experienced in the drafting of agreements and the provision of legal opinions.

He advises various international law firms, companies and banks in relation to commercial agreements and is an expert on the topic of Zimbabwe’s indigenization legislation. He handles due diligence exercises and has prepared a considerable number of wills and trusts.
