3 Pascoe Avenue, Belgravia HarareTrust joined the firm on the 1st August 2003 and became a partner on the 1st July 2006. He is the head of the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Department.
He quickly established a wide litigation practice, representing several important clients of the firm. He has a substantial practice in property law, landlord and tenant disputes and mining, labour and general commercial matters.
Trust has become a consummate general practitioner who takes advantage of both local and outside synergies in order to provide effective solutions for clients ‘challenges. He advises a number of listed and unlisted companies in relation to acquisitions, mergers, disposals and various types of contracts. He advises the largest local commercial bank in relation to its property portfolio.
Some of Trust’s recent high profile work includes advising a local financial institution regarding the restructuring of the debt owed by it to a regional financier, representing a listed mining concern with regard to a dispute with one of its international financing partners, providing advice to a local manufacturing company regarding an intended technology transfer agreement and representing a local franchisee in negotiation with a regional franchisor for the setting-up of local offices.
He also registers a number of Trusts and Constitutions for local non-governmental organisations. He supervises a team of our young Practitioners with regard to several of the firm’s clients’ debt recovery portfolios.
